Mr. Murali Ramalingam, Treasurer of IMHO met with the resettled families in Kancharamoddai, in Nedunkeni District. These are families who are being resettled from the camps in India and other parts of the Island. Housing authorities have allocated Rs. 500,00 per house, to be delivered. These families need help with toilets, running water, education for children and help with initiating farming activities. Situation being urgent, IMHO has initiated a initial payment of Rs. 10,000.00 per family. More help is needed. More families are expected to be resettled in this area in the near future. For multitude of reasons, it is important to help these families to resettle in this area and support the returning families from the camps.
