Ms. Narayani Siva of Virginia USA, member advisory council of IMHO USA, recently took her children to visit “Kudil,” a signatory project in Jaffna, built in loving memory of her parents, Drs. Brahman and Vijayalakshmi Sivaprakasapillai, and continuing the legacy of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Ponnambalam, Esq., QC, of helping the people of Jaffna. Kudil is a residential rehabilitation program designed to help the mentally ill clients to regain their potential in basic self-care and leading an independent life. For her children, taking them there is an opportunity to share this legacy—teaching them the values of kindness, empathy, community service, and understanding the importance of giving back. Dec. 2024.
