A High Dependency Unit for the management of Renal Transplant Patients at Jaffna Teaching Hospital was opened in the 19th of January 2023 by Prof. Thavam Thambipillai, President of International College of Surgeons, US Chapter, Professor of Surgery at the Sanford School of Medicine, University of South Dakota and the Vice President of IMHO USA and Dr. Perantharajah Nephrology Consultant Jaffna Teaching Hospital. The project was funded by Christabel Swarnamala of Maryland USA, through The NAV Ram Kidney Fund and implemented by IMHO USA.
