Official Launch of Speech Therapy Project at Adampan GTMS Special Education Unit – Mannar. Today marked the official launch of the Speech Therapy Project at the Adampan GTMS Special Education Unit in Mannar, a vital initiative aimed at supporting children with speech and communication difficulties. Target Group: 20 students with special needs. Session Schedule: Every Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Frequency: Once a week (4 sessions per month) Therapist Payment: LKR 5,000 per session (LKR 20,000 per month). The inaugural session witnessed the active participation of parents, the school principal, teachers, and students—highlighting strong community support and engagement. Mr. Mahenthiran Thusanthan IMHO Program Coordinator Facilitated the project, which will be supported by IMHO USA. This much-needed intervention is expected to play a transformative role in enhancing the communication abilities and overall quality of life for the children. Through consistent, professional therapeutic support, the program aims to address developmental challenges and empower these young learners to reach their full potential. June 30th 2025.
